Brisbane (flexible) | Full time
HWL Ebsworth is not your typical law firm. Our rapid rise to become the largest legal partnership in Australia shows that in our case, the differences are real. We deliver first class legal advice to our government and commercial clients in every State and Territory across Australia.
As Australia’s largest and fastest growing legal partnership, we are proud to offer our staff outstanding career development opportunities. Our transparent career development framework ensures that all team members are aware of the firm’s expectations at each level, and what is required to advance to the next career stage. We pride ourselves on promoting and rewarding talent based solely on merit, which allows all team members to reach their potential and we are committed to providing an environment that supports and encourages all team members to progress.
Our Brisbane Financial Services Advisory Group led by Michael Anastas is looking for lawyers to join their growing practice.
Consistently regarded as one of the leading financial services teams in Australia, you will have the opportunity to work in a national team with our valued clients in Australia and overseas including the major banks and financial services conglomerates, the largest mutual banks, domestic and foreign payment service providers and other financial services issuers and distributors. The practice encompasses financial services regulation, banking, credit, payment systems and scheme arrangements, stored value, digital currency and wallets, product distribution, privacy and anti-money laundering.
Whilst the role will be supporting the Brisbane office, the location of the successful candidate is flexible and can be based in another office.
HWL Ebsworth is also committed to supporting flexible working arrangements for our employees to assist them in balancing their professional and personal commitments. To support this, the firm offers a flexible working arrangement whereby professional staff members can elect to work a portion of their week remotely.
This is an excellent opportunity for a banking lawyer to broaden their experience and to join a firm with a strong focus on developing their people for success with real career progression on offer. You will be provided with a unique opportunity to learn from and to work with an experienced Partner in a busy practice but you will also have the chance to work autonomously on matters. The successful candidate will have a high level of drafting skills and exceptional communication skills.
Whilst experience and technical ability is of significant importance, we hold a positive attitude, strong work ethic and collegiate approach in high regard.
