The Opportunity

We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic candidate to join our impressive and highly regarded Melbourne Corporate practice working primarily with Peter Dreher. As part of the team you will work on an interesting mix of M&A, major projects work (in renewable energy and other sectors), contracting, general corporate, business and strategic advice, and corporate governance work.

In the renewable energy sector you will be trained and be part of the process to deliver value for clients beyond the provision of legal services, regardless of any given project phase. This includes project sale & acquisition and due diligence, project feasibility, grid connection, compliance and associated areas of finance, offtake, construction and operation. Our team understand the issues industry participants face and can talk sensibly about them.

The role is an opportunity to work on top tier matters and collaborate with our prominent client base.

Accountabilities

Specific accountabilities for this role include:

  • M&A transactions and advisory in a variety of industries, including renewable energy
  • Corporate governance and director duties advice
  • Business set up, structuring, shareholder agreements and related documentation
  • Commercial contracting

Skills and Experience

Skills and experience required for this role include the following:

  • 5-8 years PAE
  • Experience in M&A
  • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Strong leadership skills to assist in developing our junior cohort
