Experience
Richard’s recent experience includes:
- Bob Jane Corporation Pty Ltd: Numerous proceedings in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Federal Court of Australia and Family Court of Australia;
- Barton International Inc: The successful defence of a claim for damages arising out of a breach of contract and misleading and deceptive conduct. The issues involved the proper construction of a supply agreement for garnet including the implied terms of good faith and the duty of cooperation;
- CHEP Australia Limited: Proceeding in the Supreme Court of Victoria involving breach of contract and misleading and deceptive conduct;
- Monster Energy Company: Successful prosecution of injunctive proceeding involving breach of licensing arrangements in the Supreme Court of New South Wales; and
- Private corporations: The successful defence of several prominent directors of public and private corporations in relation to offences arising out of the improper trading in securities, stock market manipulation, false trading and market rigging, obtaining property by deception, obtaining financial advantage by deception and other breaches of the Corporations Law.
