Paul Wilson

Paul is a Partner in HWL Ebsworth’s Property practice in Perth, with particular emphasis on the commercial property and master-planned communities sectors. Paul has extensive commercial property experience with particular expertise in major acquisitions and disposals as well as commercial office and retail shop leasing. He also advises and assists in meeting the needs of residential developers on all aspects of property development projects including residential estate subdivision and project work and joint venture and development agreements. He has more than 30 years’ experience acting for major national private sector clients as well as government agencies.

Paul specialises in large-scale acquisitions and disposals of property, leasing, the development of master planned communities and retirement living and assists both private and public sector clients across all parts of the commercial property sectors.

Paul has been named in Best Lawyers™ Australia for Real Property Law. He has also been listed in Doyle’s Guide as a “preeminent” WA Property and Real Estate Lawyer and as a “leading” WA Health and Aged Care Lawyer.

Paul’s recent experience includes advising:

  • Viva Energy on the property aspects of Viva Energy’s acquisition from Coles of the Coles Express convenience store assets nation-wide;
  • Far East Consortium on the development of the Towers at Elizabeth Quay from the acquisition of the site, satisfaction of development conditions, preparation and negotiation of the residential strata lot contracts and attending to settlement of those contracts;
  • Centuria on the acquisition of office buildings at 144 Stirling Street, Perth, 46 Colin Street, West Perth and 45 Francis Street (William Square), Northbridge as well as industrial properties at 92 Robinson Avenue, Belmont, 103 Stirling Crescent and 155 Lakes Road, Hazelmere, 48-54 Kewdale Road, Welshpool and 204-208 Bannister Road, Canning Vale;
  • Dexus on the leasing of Dexus’ office assets at 240 St Georges Terrace, 556 and 562 Wellington Street, 10 Telethon Avenue and 58 Mounts Bay Road, Perth;
  • Lester Group on the acquisition of the Butler Homemaker Centre on a fund through basis, as well as the acquisition of industrial land at 111 McDowall Street in Welshpool; and
  • Peet on its Western Australian staged residential subdivision and development projects at Avon Ridge, Burns Beach, Shorehaven (Alkimos), The Avenue, Hilbert Park, The Village at Wellard, Golden Bay and Greenlea Baldivis, Brabham and Lakelands.
