Damien Foulis

Damien heads up our South Australian property practice and practices in all areas of property, development and contract law. Damien specialises in commercial, retail, industrial and residential developments, acquisitions and disposals. He has significant experience in the negotiation and documentation of complex sales and acquisitions, structuring, project finance and development agreements.

Damien’s experience includes acting for listed property funds, property developers, landlords and financiers with respect to due diligence investigations, sales and acquisitions, leasing, development projects and land division – including complex multi-tiered Community Title apartment developments.

Damien has a deep understanding of the property and development industry and is valued for his timely and commercial legal advice.

Experience

Damien’s recent experience includes advising:

  • Credit Suisse in relation to its acquisition of 25 Grenfell Street, Adelaide SA office tower, including detailed due diligence investigations;
  • Abacus Property Group in the partial sale of its interest in Adelaide’s tallest office tower, Westpac House, 91 Kind William Street, Adelaide SA;
  • Barwon Property Funds Management in relation to the negotiation and documentation of its acquisition of numerous medical services related properties;
  • Commercial and General in the negotiation and documentation of agreements for lease and leasing of numerous retail development sites; and
  • S. Kidman & Co on extensive and complex vendor property due diligence in relation to the sale of the S Kidman & Co cattle station business.
