Our guide to the new Planning Act and the key changes you need to be aware of

Friday, 30 June 2017

The new Planning Act 2016 will take effect this coming Monday, 3 July 2017 and along with the Planning and Environment Court Act 2016 and the Planning Regulation 2017 will replace the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 as the legislation governing planning and development in Queensland.

The new legislation is the result of bipartisan reforms implemented as a result of the Better Planning for Queensland Directions Paper - Next Steps for Planning Reform, which was released by the Queensland Government in May 2015.

HWL Ebsworth's Planning and Environment Team have prepared a guide outlining the key changes you need to be aware of. To access the guide please click here.
