Leading independent Australian law firm HWL Ebsworth Lawyers has announced that Maria Townsend has joined the firm as a partner within its Commercial team in Sydney.
Maria moves to HWL Ebsworth from Hunt & Hunt where she was a partner.
Maria operates a wide-ranging commercial and financing practice, with a specific focus on the automotive sector.
Clients seek Maria’s expertise on acquisitions and disposals, as well as commercial leases, restructures, contracts, financing and compliance related matters, particularly in relation to automotive dealership businesses.
Maria also advises lenders on all aspects of financial structuring and the documentation of loans and security products.
Outside of the automotive sector, Maria’s expertise has been highly sought after in sectors such as transport, real estate, information technology and telecommunications.
Maria’s appointment reinforces HWL Ebsworth’s position as the premier automotive industry practice in Australia, and the only national law firm with a specialist offering in this area.
